Aboveground tanks and fuel supply systems
USTEX provides diagnostic testing for aboveground tanks, connected fuel piping, containment, and supply systems serving commercial and public facilities. The work addresses the applicable state storage requirements and facility operating needs. SPCC obligations under 40 CFR Part 112, where applicable, are considered separately from underground tank requirements.
The evaluation follows the tank and piping configuration, isolating components for appropriate tightness or functionality checks. Supply and return lines, day-tank connections, monitoring devices, and containment are assessed within the agreed assignment. Formal structural tank inspections and whole-system emergency-power certification are distinct services and are identified when needed.
Testing is planned around bulk deliveries, vehicle fueling, production schedules, and emergency-power readiness. Access, isolation points, product conditions, and the availability of backup fuel arrangements are established with facility personnel. Work affecting a critical supply is coordinated with the responsible operations team before isolation.
Deliverables identify the equipment evaluated, the procedures performed, findings, supporting observations, and unresolved issues. The records support maintenance planning and the facility compliance file, with recommendations for additional testing or specialist inspection where the diagnostic results leave open questions.
