Website privacy and inspection requests

This notice covers USTEX.ORG, its inspection request forms, and the USTEX customer inquiry app.

Information you send

The website forms collect your name, contact details, company if supplied, facility location, testing needs, preferred inspection date and any notes you choose to send. If you choose the customer app's separate Send inquiry action, it also collects the contact details and documents or photos you attach, such as an inspection notice or equipment photo. Selecting files or preparing a draft in the app does not submit them. USTEX uses submitted details and attachments to review the scope, respond to your request and coordinate service. A preferred date is a request; an appointment is confirmed separately.

Website measurement

We use website measurement tools to understand page visits, calls to action, form progress, validation, submissions and engagement. These tools may use cookies or similar browser identifiers. Inspection-form events identify the field and interaction, not the name, email, phone number, facility address or notes entered in it. Mouse movement within the inspection popup is summarized into interaction and timing categories for event measurement.

We also use session recordings to understand how visitors use the site. Inspection forms are masked to keep their contents out of those recordings. Website measurement is disabled when the browser sends a supported Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Browser privacy tools and blockers may also limit measurement; they do not need to prevent an inspection request.

Storage, sharing and records

We keep submitted request details in a restricted database and customer app attachments in private file storage. Authorized USTEX personnel and service providers that host the site, store requests and files, and deliver notification emails may process this information as needed to operate those services. Website measurement services receive the interaction data described above, not the contents entered in inspection forms. A request notification email to USTEX may include contact details, inquiry details and attachment filenames, but not the uploaded file contents. Public visitors cannot read request records or private attachments through the website. Your AI host may separately retain app conversations and tool results according to its settings. The request forms and app are not intended for payment card information, account passwords or other sensitive credentials.

Business and testing records may need to be retained for project, accounting or regulatory purposes. USTEX accepts requests for access, correction or deletion, and questions about how information is used. Requests are reviewed against the purpose of the record and applicable recordkeeping obligations.
